We’ve got a chance for you to be part of something meaningful, something happening worldwide, something that means you are standing up for real love, for safe and supportive love – for everyone. On 2.14.13, join us for ONE BILLION Rising – RVA, a rally, at the Richmond Coliseum between 11 am and 2 pm.
Richmond is part of ONE BILLION Rising, a worldwide campaign organized by Eve Ensler (the founder of V- Day) and activists across the globe, to demand an end to violence against women and girls. ONE BILLION Rising RVA is your voice (and you!) rising to end violence against women and girls. ONE BILLION Rising RVA is an event, a rally, a revolution, a rising, a chance to dance and celebrate. This day is a time to come together to increase awareness, to demonstrate our collective strength, our numbers, and our solidarity across borders. It is a catalyst to a new time and a new way of being. On this day join us in our hope that love will transform the world.
We are inviting you to Rise with ONE BILLION women worldwide and those who love them and to walk out, dance, rise up and demand an end to this violence. ONE BILLION Rising is a promise that we will rise up with women and men worldwide to say, "Enough! The violence ends now.”
One Billion Rising RVA March
This march is part of One Billion Rising RVA event, which will be held at the Richmond Coliseum on February 14th. One Billion Rising RVA is part of a global campaign to end violence against women and children.
Please join us on this march on February 14th at 8AM, at 6th & Broad street, to spread the word about this amazing event and to demand an end to violence against women.
If you feel moved to spread the word, but can't join us for the entire march, join us at the starting point and we will get you some materials to pass out in a high traffic area.

The Vagina Monologues
V‑Day Richmond 2013 presents a benefit reading of Eve Ensler’s award wining play The Vagina Monologues at Dogtown Dance Theatre on April 26 and 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength though a collection of shorts and monologues inspired from interviews with hundreds of women about their views on sex, relationships, and violence against women.
